I watched “The Forty Year Old Version” with Radha Blank last night - Netflix. Was going to leave it after first fifteen minutes, but decided to stick with it. Two reasons, loved the opening scenes and I liked her. Put aside my dislike (uncomfortable feelings) for the language and went with the flow. It was worth it. Insights into Harlem black culture, the kids and my feelings about gentrification (very white ones). Loved the photography. Am now a Radha fan! She is a very talented woman. You may not agree, but I think it worth watching. This is filmmaking that makes you stay with the story.
