Having read all the Bridgerton books years ago, I don't remember the queen (Princess Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz ) as being a person of Color. Also, when Simon ( Duke of Hastings ) was born, he was described as a baby with glossy brown hair and clear blue eyes. The older version of him was described as having "thick brown hair and ice blue eyes. Have the world gone so mad with "Black lives Matter " that every character now has to be changed to a person of color to suit the political views of today? It would also be interesting to know whether there were any Dukes of color during 1814. Even though the "color changes " were done with the author's permission, the series left a bad taste in my mouth and I for one will not watch any further series of Bridgerton. At least, let the characters look authentic to suit the time period !
