If you’re a Matrix fan.. don’t watch it. Simply forget it exists and you’ll be better off. Absolutely terrible. Not the cameras or quality. Not the transitions or angles. No, it goes deeper than that. I really have no words, and it’s not worth walking you through why it all sucked from about 5 minutes in. All I can say is you definitely feel the 2021 in the film. It’s like a completely different movie. Like they made a parody off the Matrix then added some original actors. Story line is all screwed up. I respect what they are trying to do, but at the same time I don’t. We easily left off movie three with peace between the AI and humans. They EASILY could have continued that story line and kept neo alive. Instead we got this. Simply put: They made this movie a romantic comedy with a large Hollywood feel. I wasted my time and I wish I never watched it. In fact, I’m going to consider this a spoof. So I can mentally stick to the original movie feel and storyline of the first three films. Whoever created this movie probably was an intern for the reboot of the Star Wars franchise, woke Hollywood edition. Thank you for attending my Ted talk and rant because of just how this movie made me feel, early in the watching process Like I feel personally offended watching this movie.. like so much so I’m considering a lawsuit for emotional damage. Because that’s the only thing this movie makes you feel. Joe Biden’s speech writers could have done a better job writing this script. Don’t even get me started on the fight scenes, Tom and Jerry the cartoon has more exciting fight scenes. Anybody who rates this higher doesn’t appreciate the Matrix, doesn’t have a real reason, and probably didn’t watch the originals. If they didn’t that’s okay too, because this movie literally shows you clips and walks your through the entire first films. Honestly this was like watching a YouTube review. Except you tubers are more entertaining this film. I hate saying this, but I hope they lost money. So whoever did this never does this again. This is the type of movie you don’t want your name attached to. Reeves is always great, but come on man. You can definitely tell he did this film for the fans.

Don’t bother watching. I turned it on because my wife was a fan of Chris Rock and I had seen him in other movies so I figured it would be funny or family friendly. He starts off with a bit about police and how equality to him means more white kids need to be shot and he thinks it would be funny for white moms to be screaming for justice on TV. Which I gave it a second to say maybe he’s trying to do a reversal of roles. Wasn’t funny though. It continues into more racist remarks and I ended up turning it off after he said that everything in his house that is the color white is either hot, heavy or sharp. So it teaches his kids that white things will only ever hurt you. Cause the “White man” is something his kids need to be prepared for as they only bring down black people. Then goes on showing examples of it that wasn’t funny. Overall. I expected more. I’m white and my wife is black. It made us both uncomfortable and honestly, we were disappointed and just kind of angry. We ended up talking about how much minority comedians pander to left and use race to make jokes funny anymore. You know what makes Kevin hart the number one comedian in the world? His ability to relate to his audience. You can’t do that while screaming hate speech to an entire section. It was awkward for the audience. I got second hand embarrassment from my living room. Summary: Not funny, racist, jokes not thought out, sad.
