A dystopia for men. A dying breed. But what i want to critically point out is, they are taking away lesbianism away from the equation. You cannot control sexual impulses. They show families without the two heads ever having sex. This intimacy is incomplete. Also a world without men would get really dull. This is why i under stand now feminism is about equality and not about conquering the other gender.

This anime is fantastic. I love how Miyazaki is always using the trope of man vs nature or how humans in general are destroying the nature for economic purposes. He brings these two opposite stances and beautifully poses them in this work. Other works by him using the same trope would be The Valley Of The Wind, Pom Poko, eta..
