Great concept, maybe too hard to carry for more than one sitting though. The lead actress is awesome, carries the show and is truly a stunning talent. Oliver Stone did the sit-com alternate reality concept in Natural Born Killers, and it was shocking and effective. The fact is , he class american sitcom, a la 'everyone loves raymond' deserves to be deconstructed, nobody should behave that way in real life, and it highlights what is unsaid and unsayable in mainstream media. This would have made a great movie, but I don't think the 'conceit' of the sitcom parallel universe is really sustainable for a series. People who criticize the main character for not 'just leaving' are like the ones who criticize the characters in a slasher movie for not just getting a gun. It's a more complex psychological puzzle, and people don't behave perfectly rationally, or else there would be no drama at all.
