Seen 2 episodes of this and I dont want to watch anymore which is saying something because I love property shows esp Million Dollar listing, selling sunset etc. Here is what I dont like
1. The microaggressions are ridiculously too many and so evident from the first 5 mins. While Noel can be a bit arrogant, the microaggression from Peggy and the jock (I think he is ryan) is so horrible I think I think I need to see a therapist for the trauma I have lived through.
2. Peggy also was so rude and her very "Karen" like behaviour is so evident, I had to switch off. Also, I thought the guys in the company are supposed to be a team? She didnt approach Noel like a team mate when it came to the $35mil listing, instead was all aggressive which naturally made Noel on the defensive.
3. Mr Jock as well as showing so much microaggressions and reeks of male toxicity I feel sorry for his wife to have to out up with him. The first 5 mins when everyone is introducing themselves on the interview segments and he makes a crack about Noel's name and how it's pronounced, just goes to show how much of a douche he is. You see just how entitled he is in the show. This is the kind of man who, when you meet a woman who has decided to give up on men and relationships and shows you him, you go "I get it" and walk away. He would be great as a character on tv or movie but in real life, no one likes a douche in real life.
Also, why did he not tell Paula thatbher house had to be staged a particular way so they can sell it? I don't have a house to sell and even I knew that! Seen so many estate agents tell owners that they have to stage it in a way that will sell. But it seems he didnt for whatever reason. I get she came unexpectedly but come on, if you had that conversation with her in the first place you can easily go back to it to reassure her!
4. The staged conversations! Omg, we all know by now that a lot of the conversations in reality tv are started/prompted/orchestrated but it does not need to be so obvious! Like when the two jocks were skateboarding, that conversation about how they never thought they would be where they are was so obviously staged. Nothing natural about most of the conversations at all!
On a plus, the houses are beautiful and how they changed the buddha house was great. Thats why this show gets 2 stars and not 1. Shame how the jock spoke to the owner and couldnt have the conversation of how they needed to stage it to sell the house but hey ho!
Honestly, save your time and dont watch it. The very obviously staged conversations, the microaggressions, the Karens and Kens just are not worth your time. Save the 3/4 hours you would need to dedicate to this show and watch something else instead. Like re runs of selling sunset or million dollar listing. Its so much better than this
