Doctor Who is an excellent programme to be enjoyed by all the family. It is funny and exciting with just enough jeopardy to scare the kids. As a pre-watershed show it strikes the right balance with regard to inclusion as it is cleverly written for different age groups. The children can be thrilled by the chases, monsters and explosions etc. Adults, on the other hand, can enjoy the subtext of political comment and the nuanced approach towards the monsters, who, this season, mostly appear to represent innocent 'otherness'. Along with good character development within team TARDIS and some truly astonishing cinematography, this is a programme I would happily recommend to anyone.
