I really do love Pari. I think the horror and the chills induced in the movie were the most organic. It created an entire aura of anticipation and horror, the way it used old architecture and spooky locations.
The soft love story brimming in the background actually helped humanize the demon. The scene involving earphones was one of the most epic moments I had seen in a cinema this year! Kudos!
And as a pro-feminist, I must mention the brilliant cinema created by Anushka's production house. While horror oftentimes is reduced to sleaze and plunging necklines, here's a perfect mellow horror flick that wouldn't make anyone decent cinema-enthusiast cringe!
