Stellar game. Dragonball fans rejoice! Longtime fans of the series may have mix feelings.
Gameplay and controls mostly feel the same, rushing moves will take a minute to get used to. Classic and modern controls are present. Minimal quality of life changes.
Graphics are 10/10, enemies no longer disintegrate from ultimates. No ultimate world destruction. (Theres enough to destroy that you probably won't miss it)
Lack of stages compared to previous entries. While notable longtime characters missing, the majority are present and the roster is HUGE.
Story mode is lackluster. Split screen battle limited to one stage.
Final thoughts:
If you've been waiting for a proper DBZ fighting game since the PS2 era, this is your game. Many feel DBZBT3 is still king, and rightfully so. However, Sparking Zero serves as a GREAT first start at an attempt of soft rebooting the series for a modern audience.
