I was so pleased to see an honest discussion on tonight's show about opioids, chronic pain and addiction. It's the first time I've see the subject dealt with honestly and thoughtfully. Our whole country has gotten itself twisted up, to the point where people in chronic pain and agony are being denied the medication they need to live their lives. They are being told to "accept" it. Have you ever been in so much pain that tears come to your eyes and doubles you over and someone says, "ah, just accept it"? Now imagine how that would be day in and day out, year after year. Thank you Grey's and ABC for the truthful portrayal.
