The movie lived up to the genre of, "heart-warming drama." I enjoyed it for the most part. I thought it was a good story, but I haven't read the book and judging by the comments here, I should. Also, I thought the acting was really good, especially young JR for his age. I did, however, find it terribly distracting that young JR had very dark hair, eyes and eyebrows, not to mention the longest dark lashes ever, when older JR is "introduced" and is a fair complexioned, blue-eyed blond! Both actors' performances were very authentic, but really, casting couldn't find a better-matched pair?? Especially since the script called for frequent flips back and forth in time which accentuated the difference for this viewer. It made the story that much less believable and enjoyable for me.
