Ellie Beaver

I thought I knew a lot about the royal family, but I learned so much more from watching this series. For instance, I never knew the enmity was so deep and bitter between the Queen Mother and the Duchess of Windsor. I liked that the actors did not so much try to completely become the main characters, but simply convey their mannerisms and attitudes. The attention to detail in costumes, even the way things sounded in those times and even the filming techniques, were superb. All the actors were excellent and, while not trying to become the characters, almost made the audience believe they were the real ones. I can't wait for subsequent seasons of this series.
