Very confused writing. Most 40 year olds are too busy living their lives, brining up families, securing their futures. The characters are hard to relate to.

Quite liked it. However, couldn't stop comparing it with Broadchurch. Similar premise, same 2 detectives with 1 being damaged and facing issues, family members under scanner, 1 detective fraternizing with the community and so on. Broadchurch was easier to follow with fewer subplot, this one has more intense and complicated subplots, moreover the mood is darker. A good series nonetheless!
