A Masterpiece!! This is Martin Scorsese's best work for many years. It is reflective and subdued in dialogue, but with a simmering gangster darkness reminiscent of his other great films. All Scorsese's key actor-collaborators are on their best footing here. In particular, De Niro and Joe Pesci excel, with the performances of a lifetime... Expect Oscars galore. (4 out of 5 stars)
