This is one of the best movies I’ve seen, hands down. It touches on so many issues and made me feel really seen with how it tackles the issues of homophobia, biphobia, and the treatment of surrogate women’s bodies as property when she is pregnant (though Andi isn’t a surrogate per se, she is controlled on what she can eat because it will effect the health of the baby, which is not intended to be parented by her). It also touches on the consequences of lack of abortion access and the struggle for queer partners to be seen when gay marriage is not legalized. The acting is amazing, it’s funny, sad, and well-written.
