This show is so amazing! (Scroll to the bottom for censor warnings) I was on the fence about it for a long time because I thought it would be too scary, but honestly it isn't. The first episode has a creature that could scare some kids, but take it from someone who hates horror, it really isn’t that scary. It’s all more stupid, kinda like how Gravity Falls was (not saying Gravity Falls is stupid. That show is a legend). But the ending does get way more eerie and spooky, but if you can handle mild horror or “spooky fiction” then I believe you will enjoy this masterpiece of a story. Episode seven is the scariest out of all of them, with a possessed girl, but older kids probably won’t find it that scary. Despite the creatures, this story gives such amazing storytelling and eerie vibes, I love it. The music is truly amazing, and the humor makes you laugh out loud. The characters are relatable and have pretty good character arcs. The ending is so sweet. If I were you, and you were someone who was on the fence about watching this show, I’d look up pictures of the scariest things on the show and see if you can handle that. Those pictures gave me a good idea about how I would react to them when watching it. And it helped me not get jumped scared when they came on screen, lol. For only ten short episodes, they cram such an extraordinary and spectacular story. If you are a fan of Lemony Snicket’s or Mary Downing Hahn’s books, you’ll love OTGW. Just watch it, stop beating around the bush and just watch it. You won't be disappointed. CWs: some disturbing creatures and villains, some dark magic but nothing demonic, talk of spirits, spoiler: kids almost getting hit by a train and almost drowning (but they live), a scary and startling “evil spirit” possesses a girl, but isn’t depicted as a demon.

A real interesting movie. I hadn’t read the book before watching the movie so I wasn’t able to understand every character’s importance to the film or some of the scenes. The beginning was super gripping but the middle was very slow. It wasn’t going anywhere until the end and even that was a bit confusing. I’d say to read the book first but it can be watched without it. I found the movie quite gripping and full of twists. I love a good mystery and I’m a sucker for movies set in the ‘60s so I very much enjoyed the film. Great great actors and actresses and the quality was great! Just wish they had ended the movie better. Still, besides a few holes in the story, it’s worth watching. Some things I’d like to mention though. For one, no one tells you that they do swear in it. Harsh words too that children probably shouldn’t be hearing. Shows the wife cheating on her husband by kissing in a car with another man. A few fights break out throughout the film. Shows the dead body of the girl, which can be alarming. Some blood but nothing is to graphic. Deals with racism and how it was very difficult back then. It’s rated PG13 for those who see that it’s not rated online. I would say if you’re under sixteen to watch this with a parent(s) This movie has pros and cons like all films do. It’s a VERY intriguing storyline and does keep you interested. Some stuff was just random but you can easily put that to the side to enjoy the film. All in all I’d give this 4 stars.

Trust me when I tell you to grab a box of tissues when watching the semi musical Belle. This movie was a whirlwind of emotions. The songs were fantastic! Voice actors/actresses were awesome. Story was so good! Seems great, right? Well, I found that this movie, as great and beautiful as it was, held some pretty deep stuff. There’s a pretty big scene at the beginning of the movie explaining how (SPOILER ALERT) Suzu’s mother died. Suzu, being little, screams for her mother because she is drowning and it can be pretty scary for younger children. There’s also a scene of three women on a live stream in nothing but underwear and bras. It’s a quick scene but pretty noticeable and not for children to be seeing. There’s quite a bit of fighting with the beast in the virtual world. No blood but he does punch and make people turn to ice in those fights. People trying to figure out who the mysterious “beast” is. One guy suggests that, and I quote; “I bet the beast’s a girl and a pretty sexy one at that.” There are some swear words, such as; h*ll and d*mn but it isn’t said very much. Later in the movie (SPOILER ALERT) when we find out who the beast is, it turns out to be a fourteen year old boy. He and his little brother are seen to be in an abusive relationship with their father. There’s a pretty intense scene in which the father gets in a rage and tries to hurt his sons. There’s some violence in this film and blood is shown towards the end of the film from a wound Suzu gets. If I were you I’d be cautious before letting younger children watch Belle. In conclusion (gosh, I sound like I just gave a twenty minute lecture) Belle is a very good movie. It’s emotional and raw and beautiful in its storytelling. I truly did enjoy watching Belle. It’s a tearjerker but also a piece of something great. It gives off a little Beauty And The Beast vibe, which was interesting to watch. All in all, Belle was an emotional roller coaster to watch. Yet, very memorable.

Hi there! If I’m honest with you, my sister and I were at first pretty…hesitant on watching this movie. When it first came out we were both VERY young and HATED claymation. We got nightmares from just the cover of that one about a sheep. Yeah, well, time has changed and I am proud to say I can finally look that sheep in the eyes! I’m going off topic sorry! So first off we wanted to watch this movie because it seemed very good and we are older now so we aren’t “scared” of watching much claymation. I mean we still don’t care for it but we can tolerate it, you know? We started to watch it, keeping in mind “this may scar us! But let’s do it!” And you know what? It was very well done! I know most won’t enjoy this movie, at first I didn’t. But I loved the voice actors (I’m a sucker for the British actors/actresses). I enjoyed the heartwarming and even sad parts of the movie. My sister and I didn’t mind it and as weird as it was, I was able to keep my eyes in their sockets! Yay! Well I know this movie is fifty-fifty and most people loved it and most didn’t. Although one person said “if you like this movie you need help”…that’s not very cool. You don’t need help if you like this movie. We are all different and like different things! It’s cool to be weird and cool to be not so weird. It’s what makes you, you! So enjoy the weird or hate it. I love the weird, hehe.

I cannot recommend this movie enough! Such a pure and wholesome film in the world of cinema. Firstly, I absolutely LOVED the imagination and creativity that went into this movie. It was fun and made you laugh, while also keeping it emotional when needed. It looked like everyone had such fun making it! Secondly, the acting was SUPERB! Such great British actors and actresses gave it their all in this one. I loved Paddington’s voice actor! Did a really well job on casting. Thirdly, the CGI (or however they did it) for the bears was beautiful! It actually looked really real and as if talking bears could truly exist amongst us. This shows the love and care these people put into the movie. Unlike some newer movies that use CGI, you can definitely tell how much they took care of their craft and not just wanted to make a buck. That’s what makes a movie great. When you quit thinking of the money and start thinking about the story you’re telling to the world. Wanting only to give wonder and joy to all ages is something worth making a movie for. Lastly, this movie has so much heart. I got misty eyes at the end. It’s so beautiful and such a diamond in the rough. The clothes, sets, editing, and little details make this movie such a special experience. Again, I’d so recommend this movie if you’re ever feeling a little down and need a pick-me-up. You won’t regret choosing to watch Paddington. I sure didn’t.
