This movie was a hot piece of garbage. I understand it’s cheap to make these Zoom movies, but the simple fact that they get made leaves me to believe the downfall of cinema is coming. That they get made must mean there is an audience for it, which is really to bad. I guess I’m part of the problem since I watched it, but about a third of the way through I knew how bad it was, but decided to torture myself in seeing it to the end actually hope it would be as bad as I thought it would be, and it did not disappoint.

I guess I don’t agree with most here saying this movie is genius, the script fantastic, and that Mia Goth deserves an Oscar. The movie is boring, things happen that do not make sense with the story being told, and Mia Goth did not do anything with the sub par material she was provided with to deserve any accolade (in my opinion). I watched X and was genuinely entertained, brought me back to my youth when independent film was a thing I enjoyed and was worth watching, but Pearl was absolutely not on the same level, but of course, that’s my opinion. And to the person who compared this to anything David Lynch has done, shame on you. David Lynch is a genius, this is not.
