I really liked the Nate and Chloe Romance during chapters 18 and 19, since they added more depth to Nate and Chloe. It also put Nate to the test - Could he put his love for Chloe aside for the sake of being rational. Chloe's love for Nate gave her character more sympathy. Nate and Chloe's final exchange is also much better in the book, since Chloe acknowledges that she had this coming for betraying Nate and even commends Nate for outsmarting her, clarifying that while they are rivals, she still loves him, similar to Batman and Catwoman. This should have been left in the film(a test audience saw the Nate and Chloe love story and there's behind the scenes footage of Nate standing at the balcony, which is where he kisses Chloe in the book). Hopefully with enough demand, Sony will release these scenes or a theatrical extended cut like Spiderman No Way Home. This movie deserves one much more.
