A Must-Watch Teenage Dramedy - 9/10 Sex Education delves into a handful of controversial subjects (like Homophobia, Gay-Lesbian relationships, Abortion, Atheism, etc.) that are deemed taboo, and it serves as an eye-opener to why people (especially youngsters) need to be educated on them. The story is set in an American-themed, British high school. The series is hilarious and bawdy throughout, promising a burst of good laughter. The writers have done a brilliant job in balancing the thought-provoking/emotional moments and humorous sequences very well. Unlike most series, Sex Education gives equal importance to its supporting characters (though Maeve and Otis are the highlights). This makes it more interesting to explore all the facets of what the show has to offer. The main characters: Otis (Asa Butterfield), Maeve (Emma Mackey), Eric (Ncuti Gatwa), and Jean (Gillian Anderson) deliver outstanding performances thus, elevating the complete experience.
