Well done to the wonderful production team/actors who dared to dream up a world beyond all the cynicism and hatred. Hate serves no one and makes our hearts tired and empty. It still tackles gender equality matters in keeping with period dramas. I love Jane Austin’s books and I’m a fan but she painted in words the world she knew. I much prefer Julia Quinn’s take and I like to think Ms Austin would have preferred to paint this world instead.
