This was probably one of the sloppiest, laziest movies I've watched in a while. It was about 45 minutes too long, was just a Frankenstein monster of modern movie clichés, and was tonally all over the place. Just a complete mess. I'm giving it two stars instead of one just because it wasn't blatantly woke, but beyond that it's just a bad movie. Horrendously written.

This is not Star Trek, this is a freshman year loosely based off of Star Trek. The characters are immature, overly emotional, and erratic. There is absolutely none of the hierarchy or decorum of actual Star Trek. There is no intelligent, nuanced discussions of philosophical or moral issues, there is only political grand standing and superficial activism. This show should be ashamed of itself claiming to be Star Trek.

I really liked this movie! It was a grounded and emotional action thriller about a real life hero who rescued innocent children from the absolute scum of the earth. How this movie got painted with the QAnon label is beyond me and just highlights how morally bankrupt most media organizations are these days.

This isn't Star Trek, this is children on a space ship. There's no deeper questions, no discussion of human nature, no values, no maturity whatsoever. Alex Kurtzman is a disgrace to Star Trek and Paramount should have axed him years ago after Discovery season 1. As far as I'm concerned, apart from Picard season 3, we haven't had a new episode of Star Trek since Enterprise 20 years ago.
