This book grabbed my attention right front the start. I was really impressed by the amount of foreshadowing that the author did throughout the book, building the plot. The characters were also immediately people you felt like you could root for or despise. The main character, Elowyn, has such a depth of character that you couldn’t help but go along the ride with her. And Talon *queue swooning*. As a dark fantasy romance lover, he really checked the mark there. I was also really intrigued by the world building. The fae are depicted as a bit more traditional in the mythology sense than I’ve seen of late which was a nice spin.
Overall, I give this book a 10/10 and would highly recommend it!
