Like many others, when I watched the original I didn't care much for the mass prisoner deaths but enjoyed the different direction it went in. In hindsight, I would highly recommend the Assembly Cut over the original theatrical release as, although it's alot longer, there are many prisoner stories which are more 'fleshed-out'... making the whole experiance much more cohesive & comprehensible. Golic's story is a must, his relationship with 'the dragon', plus the prisoner who tried to rape Riply has his own story too... Even the Alien gets a new birthing scene from Babe, the legendary Oxen...🐂 instead of Spike (aka: 'Sparky' in the comics) prison dog 🐕‍🦺

Great group of stories introducing Drake as the new Robin... I especially loved the 'Legends of Robin' audio casette featuring Mark Hamill as the Joker, some of those stories (starting with Death in the Family) lead into Robin Volume 2 in a final climactic battle with Hamil's Joker. An underrated gem 💎 if you ask me 🦇🃏👍🏻👌🏻
