Excellent novel. I highly recommend it.

This novel by Jenna Blum ignited my interest and passion in reading and learning more about WW 2. Prior to reading THOSE WHO SAVE US, I was never interested in the war. Blum's book especially interested me in learning more about the normal ordinary German, their culture and how they survived the war. I thereafter read more about how the war affected people in other European countries who were occupied during the war. I was very fortunate to meet Jenna Blum after reading her book when I was a bookseller with the now defunct Borders Bookstores chain. She's a wonderful person.
