I tried...I got passed the awful miscasting and lackluster acting,but the hatchet job they have done on Bernard Cornwell's fantastic trilogy is unforgivable. I can't believe Mr Cornwell has allowed it. I very much doubt if the writers or directors have even read the books. Best you read the books first...or instead.

Awful..unrecognisable from the original and lacking the not -so -magic ingredients...mischievous wit.Dame Judy was pleasing but her character was a little sad instead of gloriously quirky.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

My favourite Hanks film..Excellent players,cinematography,music,locations but most of all the screenplay...Mr Shanley 'may you live to be a thousand years old!'
