A literal gut punch for any young person who knows what it is like to have to grow up and take care of others long before we should have. A most human story with low lows and high highs accurate to that coming of age feeling that happens whether we are ready for it or not. An homage to those who have been through hell, and have a story to tell because of it.
Gabrielle Creevy pulled me in within the first 5 minutes. I felt her pain and joy in every episode. She was so authentic, I can't believe she isn't Bethan herself. I just loved it so much. Not an easy watch at times, but that is exactly why the pay off was so big.
