Berlin Station was a top-of-the-line intense sophisticated intelligent drama filled with a cast of excellent international actors. Initially, I brought the first episode to see what the story was about - slow but setting the stage for the intrigue to follow and it did not disappoint. By episode 3, I was drawn in.
You're left with the question who is spying on who?
The actors were believable, shout out to Rhys Ifans and Richard Armitage, and Mina Tander for their performances.
The only major fault was the lack of consistency in settings. This was notable with Esther Krug's apartment which was different every time she was in it. Otherwise, the first and second seasons were excellent. There was a significant decline in season 3 with the absence of Richard Armitage for most of the episodes. I was very disappointed that they canceled it.
