Not entirely sure what the early heavy critique for this one is other than a poor example of expectation management. This movie was one of the best movie-going experiences I’ve had in recent years and I would absolutely see it again. It’s funny and clever and a theatrical spectacle. The action sequences are compelling and fun, the cast is top tier and the story genuinely surprised me a handful of times.
Fortunately or unfortunately, if the Taylor Swift hype was one of the reasons people were so keen on seeing it, I’m sorry to say you’ll likely be disappointed on that end. But for any movie goer who is also a fan of spies, and cats, and twists and general insanity - this film holds up.
