Transformers: Rise of the Beasts suffers from a lot of the same issues as previous films; somewhat over bloated, focused on the action, convoluted and messy, with a whole lot of convenience and plot holes to go with it; but it's got heart, and a whole lot of it, and there's a clear love of the character's that's displayed both visually and in the film's emotional beats. If you're looking for the best film of the summer, you won't find it here; but it's definitely an enjoyable watch.
