This book is well written and well documented. It is a philosophical approach to the socio-economic inequalities that exists in the world today. As the author implies, these conditions have always existed, and will possibly continue forever. For a similar book that is more focused on the inequalities of Americans and solutions to the causes, read: SHARING THE LAND OF PLENTY: NO ONE DESERVES TO EARN THAT MUCH MORE (2020) A shorter read with possible solutions based on Socialist models.

This book is well written. It examines how the super rich try to be philanthropists, but actually fail in their attempt. His book touches on causes and effects of wealth disparity in America, but fails to offer solutions. For a similar book that but is more focused on cause-effect and solutions to the problems based on Socialist models, read: SHARING THE LAND OF PLENTY: NO ONE DESERVES TO EARN THAT MUCH MORE (2020) By leaving out stories about people and personal anecdotes and sticking to the data this is a much shorter read. 200 pages.

For a more up-to-date book that is similar, but approaches the inequalities as a problem for ALL Americans below the median income level read: SHARING THE LAND OF PLENTY: NO ONE DESERVES TO EARN THAT MUCH MORE

This book is well written and well documented. An historic approach to the socio-economic inequalities that led up to the Occupy Wall Street movement. Although dated, (2012 data) the book gives a great backstory to the movement's beginnings. A new book with current data, SHARING THE LAND OF PLENTY: NO ONE DESERVES TO EARN THAT MUCH MORE (2020) continues the the fight and discusses causes and solutions to the inequalities created by Wall Street economics. Many solutions based upon Socialist models are discussed.
