Absolutely Horrible! Only movie I have ever considered walking out of, and that was 30 minutes in. Went to see it because of all the hoopla and rave reviews I had heard from every walk of life. IDK what movie they saw or if they saw it with a group of 15 year old girls, but I don't get it. Horrible acting, not funny, stupid premise. I also have no idea where the notion that it is a women empowerment movie. At no point does it say anything about people should be judged on merit, it just says women are more important than men in Barbieland and Men are more important than women in the real world. At the end of the movie, there is no lesson about how that should change, it's just women get that fantasy land and men get this real world. When faced with a problem, the Barbie women use there sex appeal and skimpy clothing to act like a dumb damsel in distress to lure the Kens into liking them, at which point they fake interest in another Ken to cause jealousy and turn the Kens against each other. SPOILER: at the end, when Barbie decides to live in the real world the only big achievement they acknowledge is now she has a vagina. Absolutely God awful movie and I honestly have no clue how anyone above the age of 13 enjoyed it. I want those 2 hours of my life back, Mattel!
