Ray Spickler

I can't believe I went so long without seeing this amazing movie. It's easy to fall in love with the young characters, and you hold the feeling throughout the movie. Extremely realistic in its portrayal of the Jewish community in NY after the turn of the 20th century, you can almost smell the place. The scene in the mansion near the end, and the memories Noodles has about their past friendship is the perfect setup to the final shot. It's very long, but it doesn't feel that way. I highly recommend.
