Nadir Abbas

Another good Indian adaptation of Great Expectations just as Omkara (Othello), Maqbool (Macbeth) and Haider (Hamlet). Good direction, acting, and cinematography. Like Haider it is set in Kashmir. Regardless of Indian government's position and that of a small number of other people, I did detect a sympathy in both movies for the tragedy and complexities Kashmiris have been facing since 1947.

A very disappointing series. Weak story, weak plot, and poor performances specially that of Madhuri. "Fashionably" loaded unnecessarily with gay/lesbian elements. Pathetic ending with Madhuri trying to break a flimsy shutter with an iron crowbar!
