Monique is a very talented actress and she EARNED that Oscar for Precious. However, I really didn’t enjoy The Reading. It was intense and over dramatic. I could not help but think about real Monique. I didn’t see her as an actress. I saw her real childhood pain and disappointments she experienced after all the mess in the aftermath of Precious. This is all shady Lee Daniels trying to portray the real Monique. His apology was IMO never really genuine. Monique is too talented for this juvenile excuse of a movie. 😞 Sorry
