Loved the movie up until the very end. The ending was as manipulative a movie as I have ever watched.
She hands off the baby to her husband (from whom she had separated) and tells him she will name (a derivative) the baby after his brother that died. As she does this she is "lovingly" stroking the back of his neck and hair and looking "lovingly" into his eyes. She then says, "I want...to come home and be a family?" (But only if you receive counseling.) That's certainly what the viewer thinks! NO! She tells him, "I want...a DIVORCE!" WHAT!?!? As expected she eventually gets back with her high school boyfriend.
If you are going to file for divorce, why would you name the baby after your soon-to-be-ex's brother! This is a daily reminder of the man you left behind because you feared him!
If I were the HS boyfriend with whom, you know, she is looking to eventually rekindle the romance, I would turn and run! Why raise another man's child that your wife would be daily reminding you of, and honoring, her EX! It shows her inability to "read the room", use some common sense, and be thoughtful of a future husband!
