A well-written book packed with information. The author shows the depth and complexity of Jewish thoughts surrounding the founding and existence of Israel. He does not make much effort to show similar complexity among the Arab population. Israelis are “muscular” while Arabs are simply violent. Israelis are determined while Arabs are merely stubborn and ungrateful. Israelis have an ancient claim to the land, but the Arabs…? Etc. I am not Jewish nor Arab but was hoping for a great book rather than a good one with serious flaws.
