This was a 5 star review until the last episode. Which just shat over.... well a lot of things.
Acting is very good for the most part, like everyone else I will agree Mustafa Shakir is fantastic, 10/10 Jet. John Cho as Spike is good, but needed to be more somber at times and I hate to say it but I wish his voice was deeper. Daniella is a different version of Faye I honestly like a bit better then the original.
Music is excellent. So is supporting cast and settings.
Plot and writing is generally good. Making the episodes longer and less serialized was a good choice overall for the setting of a netflix series where you're pretty much guaranteed to never see an episode out of order. They went the marvel route on the writing, which isn't a bad move with the amount of levity helps with pacing and character building.
My main bone to pick is Viscous and Julie. I don't know if it was the actor or the directing but Viscous goes from a calculating intelligent great character to a weird bafoonish man-child psychopath. Terrible villain, felt like they castrated that character. Julie went from a mysterious dangerous seeming loner to deconstructed damsel in distress which was, for me, not a welcome change.
Overall still very good, with lots of good changes, but a few bad ones right at the end to make me cringe a little thinking about what they're going to do with season 2.
