Lacks in substance, but has a ton of laughs. No spoilers. The movie is funny. It is actually downright hysterical. However, anyone with any degree higher than 1st grade on the MCU will know that the storyline is a bit underwhelming. What is lacks in story telling it makes up for with the quick witted humor and delivery Deadpool is known for. While the first two movies had great laughs and a well written storyline - this movie only survives on humor. It is not a bad thing. Just an observation. The MCU storyline has not done well since Avengers Endgame was released and unfortunately this movie falls in line with that sentiment. If not for the masterful portrayal of Deadpool by Ryan Reynolds and a solid performance by Hugh Jackman and the supporting cast this movie would not have any weight. Fortunately, we live in a world that needs a good laugh right now and this movie certainly goes above and beyond for the belly laughs and chuckles that merit a second watch for the witty zingers thrown out at a moments notice. Fight scenes are excellent also. Story 3/5 Action 5/5 Acting 5/5 Total 4.3 stars
