it's an improvement but the game play is literally the same since madden16, same problems faced in previous games and little to no fun to be had, ball gets "dropped" 10 feet into the air and intercepted, players getting stuck on each other, things to be challenged but the game says theirs nothing to be challenged, Having to run the same offensive and defensive plays over and over cause theyre the only plays that work, CPU QBs being perfect every snap, linemen & linebackers being faster than Top RBs and QBS, Lots of glitches and bugs-such as the trade block not working and the game not giving you the right points you scored a after a game nor the correct record or ultimate team crashing all the time but it's not like ultimate team is anything but a money grab, I like they added new fans and chants but when I'm the raiders playing the pats I don't want to hear the crowd chanting go pack go or the home team cheering and chanting after the away team scores, Also the new coaching trees are not anything special you can just play the game normally and ignore the points and be fine except if you earn or are awarded points it will remind you every time you exit back to the objectives screen even after you use the points, Same old insane CPU defensive plays that make no sense, QBs not throwing the ball cause they get stuck in an animation, and lastly if you create a player in franchise you HAVE to play as all offense and defensive instead of just that created player a taken out feature someone us enjoyed now forcing us to play Face of the franchise game made which sucks horribly. Came back to madden after a 2 year pause to see if it's actually changed, completey disappointed. P.S. older gen consoles are almost completely left out on majority on gameplay/ on field additions. Update: After playing for a full week since release now, i can say that im upset with myself for spending $60 on this and wasting so much time to try and find different ways to make it fun. It feels almost impossible to make any defensive plays or have any high scoring games offensively due to the on the field gameplay just being horrible and unrealistic and un-organic. I'm playing on ps4 and watching other YouTubers play on next gen and seeing all the features that were not added to the old gen is absolutely ridiculous. DO NOT WASTE YOU'RE MONEY ON THIS GAME. I tired to get refund because I bought digitally and nothing works, don't make the same mistake I did. Just play retro bowl on your phone it's far more fun.

what's the point of the revenge mode if you never get it when you're being double teamed but the enemy can get it every 5 seconds smh

love the graphics and story but the game play expectly the horrible Unchooseable camera control and shooting machanics the game couldve been so much better and funner

legit just a copy and paste of the first game. horrible animations and actions. hero's vs villains is the best example for how garbage this game is. EA has had plenty of time to lisen to the community and fix this game and they didn't.
