The least important and connected MCU entry to date. It can’t decide if it wants to be a grand sweeping epic about space gods influencing the development of human civilization or a moody character study about what it means to be one of those space gods. Many inconsistencies and contradictions of things that are setup within the film.

Quite an enjoyable film despite potentially writing some things into a corner for the MCU. I was surprised by how emotionality resonant it was and am curious to see where they take Tom Holland’s Spider-Man from here.
