I was a teenager when Star Wars hit theaters in 1977, when the Posters simply read Star Wars, not Episode IV, A New Hope, as we refer to the Original today. I loved the film and went to see it many times in the theaters that summer. We didn't have Home Video back then. George Lucas had an idea, and hit GOLD with a simple story with characters we all wanted to know better. Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Alec Guinness, and James Earl Jones as the voice of Darth Vader were a Dream Cast. John Williams was right on target with the music of Star Wars. 42 years later, I had similar fun watching Star Wars, The Rise Of Skywalker in IMAX 3D. I still enjoyed the ride, thanks to our new generation of Heroes, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver, along with our old friends, and the thousands of people behind the scenes making the magic.
If you enjoy the Star Wars films, I recommend seeing this film too. I me.enjoyed it from the opening credits to the closing credits. I don't really care what they critics have to say about this film. Some will praise it and others will complain about about some part of the plot, and that's fine. I enjoyed The Rise Of Skywalker, and that's all that really counts for me. Job well done by all involved.
