Like many I’ve been waiting a long time for this game. I was obsessed with it for the first few weeks purely for nostalgia reasons but that time has come to an end. I only play dynasty mode and from what I’ve seen in other reviews that’s common and is the best gameplay option. First gripe is if you play on Freshman you will 100-0 most games. If you play any mode higher you will be putting your controller through a wall. Your o line cannot block. WRs will drop everything and the defense somehow auto adjusts to always make the perfect play provided you don’t get sacked first. If you do find yourself in a close game at the end the odds of the CPU winning on a hail marry with a wide open WR catching it in the end zone go up significantly. On defense I usually play with DE and somehow whatever DE I’m not using will get the sack while I’m being shoved into the dirt. I’m used to playing on the higher difficulties and consider myself above average but in this game the difficulty differences is way out of whack. And what’s the point of playing if you’re winning 100-0 anyways. The simulation of the season is also bizarre. Teams that have no business being in the CFP get bids rather than the 12 best teams getting in on merit. The best teams also never make it to the final 4 but rather NC State, Texas Tech or Memphis will while the notable power house programs get bounced early if they even get in. If you create a coach you start at a severe disadvantage and I’m in year 4 and am now just getting the opportunity to get 4 or 5 star recruits. But let me be clear I have no real shot at getting them even though I’m their top choice to start the season. The game is also incredibly glitchy, freezing out at in opportune times. Or my QB will get called for offsides while I’m playing defense. Overall just let down by the game. After playing it religiously for 3 weeks I’m over it and wouldn’t recommend it unless you can get it at a good discount. Even then buyer beware.
