I just watched this movie and I'm totally devastated for the troll and the trolls family. The humans should be ashamed of themselves. That poor troll only wanted to get back to see his family. They were massacred years before and he didn't even know...why they couldn't see the troll meant no harm and use common sense to work with the troll instead of shooting and bombing the poor thing. Was holding out hope for an ending that saw the troll get some sort of justice but oh no.......the humans trap him with UV lights and he dies when the sun comes up....the humans were definitely no heroes. The troll was shown to be kind hearted, which would make it seem the humans would realise and not kill him and that be a nice message for the movie... but then he dies anyway and it's treated like a victory, as if it had been maliciously killing everyone. Also bell scene stupid. For fellow troll themed movie enthusiasts , I recommend Jack and Giant Slayer.
