This game is horrible on PS4 (maybe the controls & combat are immensely better on PC). I put a couple of hours into it, giving it a chance, and kept asking how it was ever released. I strongly believe whomever designed the combat system had no intention of player enjoyment. In the opening chapter (aboard the ship), you barely scrape by fighting sea-roaches. Seriously, they eat your face, you're lucky to survive. Hardly any healing, so the next sea-roach finishes the job. Each character is supposed to be this powerful anti-hero, and it feels like you're pond scum. Everything about the game is clumsy & cumbersome. Every fight starts with NPCs casting area effect that debilitates you. In chapter 2, I dug in the sand, a zombie popped up, beat the piss out of me - I tried to run away, it had better movement than me, and straight-up murdered me. How is that fun? I can't recommend avoiding this game more, it was retchid. I have to imagine the PC version has extremely better controls, that's the only explanation for any conceivable positive reviews.
