My father who was a post WWII veteran had read this book and said that it was a very interesting book and highly recommended it. It took me a couple of years to purchase and read this and I now just finished reading it and I was taken into the book to where I couldn’t put it down. It was so amazing, it was like I was right there. To read from both sides of the story gave me a better understanding what both sides had gone through during the war. Both gentlemen are HERO’S in my eyes, especially Franz who took the risk for his own life to do what he had done. I am sure that if he was found out to be the pilot who had saved Charlie Brown and his crew, the outcome for him would not have been good. This book was excellent !!! With a capital letter E. From both sides of the story, this would definitely make a great movie. May God bless both Charlie and Franz and keep them forever more…I would highly recommend this book to anyone that has an interest in WW II history.
