Minecraft legends is super enjoyable. The gameplay is a fun, easy to understand twist on a tactical strategy game, it feels like you're a commander leading troops to battle, not an omnicient force overseeing one. This leads to a supper grabbing experience for players that love this sort of genre.
That being said, there are a fair few glitches and crashes throughout the game that need a bit of troubleshooting to fix. The three characters that guide you along your journey can get really annoying, and spout almost nothing but repetitive information. Yes, you can turn voices off, but that makes the cutscenes look weird, without a narrator. Last negative, there is a gigantic difficulty spike right at the end of the begining section of the game that comes out of nowhere.
Back to positives, you ride along a steed, fighting war against the piglins. Despite how different this is set up to minecraft, they find clever ways to include elements from minecraft throughout the gameplay.
When not on netherack, you can build structures using gathered rescourses, placing them very freely. These can defend, attack, support, ampplify, traverse, you name it. Not to mention, you can attack along with your troops. All the different troops you can command are intresting and unique. Always a use in one situation or another.
For example, zombies are good all all-arounders that can tank hits, making them useful in loads of different formations, creepers can pretty much instantly destroy a structure, but they take themselves with it, and skeletons deal loads of damage to enimies, shooting from a distance and over walls, but have laughable health and barely do anything to structures. Even the begining troops have uses, as somtimes you won't have enough resources to create better ones.
It is a very unique and varied experience that is sure to give you a good time. I'd give it atound 70%. It is at least worth your time to check out if you are intrested., but can be super enjoyable if it manages to strike a chord.
