There was a lot of hate on this film before it even came out and admittedly I was hesitant after seeing the first one. The biggest flaw of the first one was as lack of character development. Couldn’t care less who lived or died. But I finally got around to part two and I am happy I did.
Scargiver does something the first one should have at least attempted to do -at least a little-and that is build character. In this go-round the visuals are spectacular as is expected and the fight scenes surreal, violent and somehow beautiful.
I actually cared when a couple characters are lost. The stakes are much higher in Scargiver and it felt like it truly was a fight that had to be fought, human lives that needed to be saved.
I look forward to the extended versions.
