Love everything about this drama: Eye candied male and female leads; Excellent portrayal by the whole cast of their respective roles, esp Fang Jianming ( can't understand why there are complaints about his portrayal. He portrayed Fang Jianming to perfection, a man burdened by his loyalty and sacrifice to king and country, and a hidden love for his disciple, a man not given to showing his emotions yet I feel his every pain, longing and frustration), Haishi and Zhou Ying (in his double role). Jaw dropping fighting scenes, The haunting beginning and ending ost; The simple yet very elegant costumes; The themes of sacrificial love, loyalty, integrity, friendship and compassion, which are fast do diminishing today are so good to witness. Except for the ending; I'm glad the producers did not stick to the ending in the book. It was a lot worse. However, they could have rewarded the amount of emotion and continuous rooting we put to the characters by giving us a clear happy ending so that we can have closure and not continue to wonder what happened 😭 after that.
