It's not a great movie, but I really admire Dennis Quaid. For a LGBT actor to take this role is truly brave. But he has been being brave like this his whole career. And his life has been one of just simple decency. I can't always recognize his face, but I know in this movie, he is Dutch, not butch!

Lush, incoherent, and a bit pretentious. I love the historical Vietnam material, but the story is convoluted and the show, sadly, seems like a vehicle simply to promote Robert Downey Jr's bipolar energy. This takes away from the other actors who are good.
