I agree it’s nothing like the highly anticipated 90s show, this could’ve easily been regarded as a great tv drama but a lot of excessive profanity. I could watch the old version of this show with my parents but this show is adult drama and dialogue. Disappointed at Will considering the original show was excellent and was a accurate depiction of a black family this show is over the top with the profanity from the child or teen characters

Absolutely beautiful film. Only annoyance was the unnecessary music interjections. As a person that’s been on the receiving end of a loved one struggling with depression, it was very therapeutic and inspirational. It gave me hope and much clarity.

Fantastic well done depiction of Moses. Love the added perspective from scholars. To those who are giving it one star and criticizing it, they must be on the wrong review thread. This film depicts Moses as a prophet, prince, Shepard, and citizen it’s relatable and adaptable for our century.

Never seen many of his movies but this definitely gets 5 stars

Not sure where the 5 star reviews are coming from (BET associates) but the show unequivocally has no real character draw. Ernie Hudson (lead character) and Emilio have no business being surrounded around such awful acting characters. This show looks like a high school production on a local tv network. There are times where this fake dramatic music is playing on a serious scene and the actors are attempting to whisper in the moment above the music but you can’t understand them!? The acting is over the top, over exaggerated and just plain horrible. It’s hard to stay connected to the storyline when the characters are over exaggerating a love scene, a drama scene, a fighting scene , it’s extremely laughable if you want a good laugh at the expense of the terrible acting. I would like to know how they can afford luxury vehicles and staged mansions but the women’s wigs look like like they cost $10.00! On top of horrible acting you have horrible wigs… how the hell did this show slide into 4 seasons under the radar

It was great to see the old cast but the movie was slow and boring
